Dental Sleep Medicine

The Dental Sleep Medicine Clinic offers individualized oral appliance therapy for the management of sleep-disordered breathing in adults and adolescents.

Candidates for oral appliance therapy include individuals who are diagnosed by a physician with any of the following:
• Primary snoring
• Mild-to-moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea
• Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (those who cannot tolerate CPAP)
• Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome

We also treat patients who require an oral appliance as an adjunct to their CPAP (combination therapy) to achieve better CPAP compliance or effectiveness.

Dr. Greg Essick is in-network with most major medical insurance carriers. A physician referral is required for oral appliance therapy — click here to obtain a form for your physician. We will contact you to schedule an appointment upon receipt of the referral.

A referral from your doctor is needed to schedule a Dental Sleep Medicine appointment. For information, call (919) 537-3939.
Referrals should be faxed to (919) 445-0315
