Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Group

Oral and maxillofacial radiologists are experts in the ever-changing technology used to help diagnose and treat oral-facial diseases and conditions.

These specialists have unique experience in radiation physics, biology, safety and hygiene. Their background equips them to skillfully work with advanced technologies such as digital imaging, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, and more.

At the Dental Faculty Practice, oral and maxillofacial radiologists provide services in the radiographic investigation of the mouth and jaw, including the sinuses, temporomandibular (jaw) joints and related structures, as well as the imaging of dental implant sites.

Services include:

  • Radiographs (x-rays)
  • Tomograms (special x-rays taken as cross-sections)
  • CT scans (computer assisted x-ray images)
  • Consulting services and second opinions through interpretation of radiographs referred from other practitioners
