Periodontology is the branch of dentistry that focuses on the prevention and treatment of gum disease.


Treatment includes non-surgical and surgical options, depending on the individual needs of the patient.


Services include:


  • Prevention and treatment of diseases affecting the gums and supporting tissues, such as skin or bone grafts, guided tissue regeneration, bone surgery and flap surgery/pocket reduction surgery
  • Management of gum and tissue inflammation resulting from existing dental conditions, including deep cleaning or scaling and root planning
  • Treatment of cosmetic problems such as gum recession or overgrowth
  • Surgical placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth
